If you're new to the sport, the lido is a great place to learn - lovely warm water!  We provide all boats and kit, but please make sure you bring suitable clothing for getting wet in!

We will be offering formal coaching sessions for beginners and improvers, starting in the second week.  If you're interested in coaching, please pop along this week to express an interest, or get in touch with a member of the committee.

Lido open day Saturday 21 April

The Lido opens its doors this Saturday and, as usual, they have asked us to provide a "try a boat session" for their customers. These will be adults and children with no experience of paddling. I need 3 or 4 volunteers; 1 to organise an orderly queue of people waiting to try a boat, at least 1 to help people into boats and explain what to do with a paddle and 1(preferably 2) on the water. Let me know asap if you can help. Either text or respond here. Thanks, Noreen

Help wanted to extend the LIDO shed

Last year the club shed at the Lido was 'bursting' with boats, mostly club owned. It has been suggested that the front panel containing the door could be moved forwards to extend the shed by 1.5m to give much more space.

Are you a 'can-do' person willing to help out prior to the pool sessions starting? Possible dates are Saturday 14th or Sunday 15th April.

Please contact me (Rich B) if you are able to spare some time.
